Black History in the U.S. for Koreans
Series of Instagram Stories.
Protesting for the justice of George Floyd extended internationally, and later on, South Korea joined the movement.
However, many Korean's reactions over this agenda were dull because they generally think there is a discrepancy between Black Americans' actions toward Asians and Black Lives Matter movement.
Koreans usually don't learn about the Black history of the U.S. in schools, and many don't know why this movement is beyond seeking justice for George Floyd and ending police brutality.
Thus, I wanted to expand their views on the recurring movements by touching the roots of the cause of the inequality treatments toward Black Americans in the U.S.
That's why I started to create a series of stories on Instagram dedicated to Black history in the U.S. and the existing systemic racism towards Black Americans.
Result? I don’t know and I don’t care.
It was an honest thing to do.
